Engraving jig generator
Fill a bed with blank outlines for coasters, tags, and keychains. Pick a circle, a rectangle, or a rounded rectangle, then the gap and the margin. The grid is centered on the bed and the file is the bed size, so it drops onto the machine origin at true scale.
Exports SVG. See also Finger-joint box, Vector QR code, Tumbler wrap.
4 × 3 = 12 blanks on a 400 × 300 mm bed.
Red paths cut. Blue paths score. Black paths engrave. Import at 100% scale.
How to use it
- Set the bed to the area you actually use, not the brochure size, if you keep a margin for clips.
- Enter the finished blank size. For a circle, width and height are the diameter.
- Leave a gap wide enough for the beam and for a little handling, often 3–5 mm.
- Turn on numbers if you engrave a set and need to match fronts and backs.
- The blue rectangle is the bed. The red outlines are the cuts. Import at 100%.

Questions
How many pieces fit?
The count is floor of the usable bed divided by blank size plus gap. The page shows rows, columns, and the total before you download.
Can I mix shapes?
Each file is one shape. Download a second jig if the job mixes circles and rectangles.
Where is the origin?
The SVG’s lower-left is the corner of the bed you entered. The blanks are centered inside the margin.
